Join Maestro Stratton for a tour of Má vlast (traditionally translated as My Country), a set of six symphonic poems composed between 1874 and 1879 by the Czech composer Bedřich Smetana. The most familiar of the works, “The Moldau” is a much-loved standard in the orchestral repertoire. Less frequently are we able to hear the work in the context of the other tone poems, that all paint pictures of the Czech countryside or are inspired by Czech national history or legend. A special celebration on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Prague uprising.

A special display by CzechTourism will be on-site, in the lobby.
